The Rolleiflex 2.8E, model K7E, was produced from 1956 to 1959, with approximately 44,000 units made. This model is similar to its predecessor but introduced an uncoupled selenium cell exposure meter, which could be adjusted on the focusing knob. The 2.8E could be purchased with or without this meter.
