The Rollei 35 SE is a compact 35mm film camera produced in Singapore from 1979 to 1981. It is similar to the Rollei 35 TE but features a high-end Carl Zeiss Sonnar 1:2.8 f=40mm lens, which was made by Rollei under license and is HFT coated. The camera includes a coupled CdS photo element light meter with exposure information displayed via three LEDs in the viewfinder: two red for over/under exposure warnings and one green for correct exposure. It uses a PX27 mercury battery and has a film sensitivity range of 25 to 1600 ASA. The Rollei 35 SE was available in black, chrome, or aluminum finishes and weighs 335 grams, or 310 grams with aluminum covers.
