The Contax RX is a 35mm single-lens reflex camera body with auto exposure modes and the Contax/Yashica MM lens mount. It was manufactured by Kyocera in 1994. The camera features an electromechanical shutter with speeds from 16 seconds to 1/4000 seconds. It supports aperture-priority, shutter speed-priority, programmed auto exposure, and manual exposure, along with TTL and manual flash control. Its TTL-metering is switchable between center-weighted and spot. The RX also includes a built-in TTL phase difference detection system for focusing, automatic film handling, a status LCD, AE-lock, and a 10-second self-timer. It offers continuous shooting at three images per second.
