The Contax Aria is a manual focus 35mm SLR camera produced by Kyocera/Yashica in 1998. It utilizes the Contax/Yashica MM lens mount. The camera features a vertical traveling focal-plane shutter with speeds ranging from 30 seconds to 1/4000 second, including a Bulb mode, with specific speed ranges depending on the shooting mode. It offers five exposure modes: Program, aperture-priority, shutter-priority, metered manual, and flash/TTL auto flash. Metering options include evaluative (Matrix), center-weighted, and spot metering. The Aria has a motorized film transport with automatic loading and mid-roll rewind capability, and two drive modes allowing for continuous shooting up to 3 frames per second. It supports DX coded film from 25 to 5000 ISO, and manual ISO settings from 6 to 6400. Power is supplied by two 3V CR2 batteries. A limited edition "70 Years" version was released in 2002.
