The Zenit TTL is a 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) camera manufactured by KMZ (Krasnogorsky Mekhanichesky Zavod) in the Soviet Union, first introduced in 1977. It uses the M42 screw mount for interchangeable lenses and features a built-in through-the-lens (TTL) CdS exposure meter. The camera offers manual exposure control with shutter speeds ranging from 1/30 to 1/500 second plus Bulb mode. Focusing is manual, and the viewfinder provides a central microprism spot for easier focusing. The Zenit TTL is fully mechanical, requiring a battery only for the light meter. Its robust metal construction and simple operation made it popular among amateur photographers.
