The Yashica-Mat LM is a twin-lens reflex camera introduced by Yashica in 1958. The "LM" in its name signifies "Light Meter," referring to the uncoupled selenium cell light meter positioned in front of the viewfinder, which does not require a battery. This camera is entirely mechanical and is noted for its robust construction and ease of use. It utilizes 120 roll film to produce 6x6 cm images. The Yashica-Mat LM features an 80mm f/3.5 Yashinon taking lens and a Copal shutter offering speeds from 1 second to 1/500 second, plus Bulb mode, with flash synchronization at all speeds. The viewing lens is a 3.2 Yashinon. Both lenses accept Bayonet I filters. The camera has a metal body covered in black leather, weighs approximately 1.2 kg, and uses a crank for film advance and shutter cocking. The focusing screen includes a Fresnel lens with a red grid and a magnifying loupe for precise focusing.
