  • 5 photos

The Yashica FX-1 is a 35mm film, mechanically operated, single-lens reflex camera introduced in 1975. It was the first Yashica SLR to feature the Contax/Yashica common bayonet mount, allowing it to use both Yashica and Contax/Carl Zeiss T* lenses. This camera has a horizontal traveling electronic focal plane cloth shutter, offering speeds from 2 seconds to 1/1000 second in auto mode, and 1 second to 1/1000 second plus Bulb in manual mode. It incorporates a CdS light meter powered by a 6V PX28 battery, with a sensitivity range of 0 to 18 EV and an ASA range of 12 to 3200. The viewfinder includes a micro prism spot for focusing, a match needle shutter display, and an aperture display. The film advance lever supports multiple smaller strokes.
