The Minolta XG-1 is a 35mm SLR film camera introduced by Minolta in 1977. It uses the Minolta SR bayonet lens mount, compatible with a wide range of Minolta manual focus lenses. The camera features aperture-priority automatic exposure as well as full manual exposure control. Shutter speeds range from 1/1000 to 1 second, plus Bulb mode, and it uses a horizontal cloth focal plane shutter. The XG-1 includes through-the-lens (TTL) center-weighted metering and an electronically controlled shutter, requiring batteries for operation. Notable features include a hot shoe for flash, self-timer, and a bright viewfinder with LED exposure indicators.
