MINOLTA X-300

The Minolta X-300 is a 35mm manual focus SLR camera produced by Minolta between 1984 and 1990, also marketed as the X-370 in the U.S. and Canada. It features an electronically-controlled cloth-curtain focal plane shutter with manual speeds from 1 to 1/1000 second, and stepless speeds up to four seconds in aperture-priority mode. The camera has a center-weighted average light meter mounted in the pentaprism, a 10-second self-timer, and AE lock. It supports an ISO range of 12-3200 and uses two AG13/LR44 batteries. The X-300 was a less expensive alternative to the X-500, with a nearly identical body but fewer features, such as the absence of OTF flash mode, a DOF preview button, PC connection, and interchangeable screens. It became the basis for many other cameras from China after Minolta's autofocus Maxxum line was introduced.
