MINOLTA XG-M

The Minolta XG-M, introduced in 1981, was the flagship model of the Minolta XG series of 35mm SLRs. It featured a completely new design and was available in chrome only, replacing the XG 9 in its markets. The Japanese version was known as the X-70. The XG-M corrected a major limitation of earlier XG models by allowing the light meter to function in manual exposure mode. It included all the features of the XG-S, such as a stop-down button and the brighter "Acute Matte" focusing screen. The ASA setting and exposure adjustment were moved to the rewind crank, and it could be mounted on the 3.5-fps Motor Drive 1.
