The Minolta XD-s is a 35mm SLR film camera manufactured by Minolta and introduced in 1979. It is a variant of the Minolta XD series, closely related to the Minolta XD-7 (XD11 in North America), and was primarily released for the Japanese domestic market. The XD-s features both aperture-priority and shutter-priority automatic exposure modes, as well as full manual control. It uses the Minolta SR mount for interchangeable lenses and offers a bright viewfinder with LED exposure indicators. Notable features include a depth-of-field preview, multiple exposure capability, and a smooth electromagnetic shutter release. The camera is powered by two SR44 or LR44 batteries and is known for its compact, robust design.
