The Minolta Dynax 500si Super is a 35mm autofocus SLR camera produced by Minolta around 1995. It was also marketed as the Maxxum 500si in the American market, and as the Maxxum 530si RZ and Maxxum 550si with additional features. The Japanese version was known as the α-303si Super. It features an electronically controlled focal-plane shutter with speeds from 30 seconds to 1/2000 second and a flash sync of 1/90. The camera offers five program exposure modes, including portrait, landscape, close-up, sport, and night portrait. Its TTL metering system uses an 8-segment honeycomb silicon photocell with a range of 1 to 20 EV, and it supports DX-encoded films from 25 to 5000 ISO. Film transport is motorized, with single or continuous drive up to 1fps, and automatic or manual rewind. It includes a built-in flash with a guide number of 12 and an AF illuminator for low-light focusing. The camera is powered by a 2CR5 battery.
