The Konica C35 EF, nicknamed "Pikkari" in Japan, is a compact camera introduced in 1974. It was the first 35mm compact camera to feature a built-in electronic flash, accommodating all necessary components within its compact body. The camera is equipped with a Konica Hexanon 38mm f/2.8 lens and utilizes zone focusing by selecting preset distances on the rotating lens barrel. It features auto-exposure via a CdS metering cell and has shutter speeds of 1/60 and 1/125. The integrated auto-flash automatically adjusts aperture based on ambient light and focus distance. Film speed can be manually set from ASA/ISO 25-400. The C35 EF requires a 1.3V PX675 mercury battery for the light meter and two AA alkaline batteries for the flash.
