The Konica Autoreflex TC, introduced in 1976, was designed as an entry-level SLR camera, replacing the A3 model. It is a scaled-down, more compact camera compared to earlier Autoreflex models, reflecting a trend in the photographic industry towards smaller SLR cameras. The Autoreflex TC features shutter speeds ranging from 1/8 to 1/1000s, plus a Bulb setting. In Japan, this model was marketed as the Acom-1. While the Acom-1 was offered with a Date Back option in 1978, the Autoreflex TC never included this feature. Both the TC and the T4, a similar but more advanced model, utilized a plastic top plate but retained a metal frame for durability.
