The Kiev 4 is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced by Arsenal in Kiev, Ukraine, from 1956 to 1987. It is a development of the Kiev II and III, which were copies of the Contax II and III. The camera features a Contax mount for lenses and a vertical blade shutter with speeds from B to 1/1250. It is known for its long 9 cm rangefinder base, which allows for accurate focusing, and its combined viewfinder and rangefinder window. Some models, like the Kiev 4, include a selenium cell exposure meter, while the Kiev 4A is a non-metered variant.
