  • 11 photos

The Fujica GL690 Professional is a medium-format, interchangeable-lens, leaf-shutter rangefinder camera released by Fuji Photo Film Co. in January 1974. It features a second shutter button on the front for vertical shooting and adds short-roll 120 film capability. The viewfinder magnification was increased from 84% to 92%, and the eyepiece was changed to a circular form, allowing the use of standard diopter lenses and other accessories. Cosmetic changes include the addition of "Professional" on top and a large stylized "G" on the lens mount. The focusing grips on the lenses are now rubber. A 50mm lens, a faster 65mm lens, and an autoexposure 100mm f/3.5 lens were released concurrently with the GL690.
