The Voigtländer Bessa R4A is a 35mm rangefinder film camera introduced by Cosina Voigtländer in 2006. It features an electronic shutter with aperture-priority automatic exposure, as well as manual exposure capability. The camera is notable for its wide-angle viewfinder, offering bright-line frames for 21mm, 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 50mm lenses without the need for external finders. The R4A uses Leica M-mount lenses, expanding compatibility with a wide range of optics. It includes TTL center-weighted metering, a vertical-travel metal shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/2000s, and a flash sync speed of 1/125s. The camera is constructed with a compact, lightweight body, making it suitable for street and travel photography.
