The Bronica SQ-Ai is a 6x6 medium format SLR camera, announced at the 1990 Photokina and available in the US from early 1991. It is an updated version of the SQ-A, featuring the ability to use a motor drive specifically designed for the Ai model. The camera also supports OTF metering and TTL automatic flash with SCA flash adapters. It includes a longer shutter speed of 16 seconds and a traditional bulb mode, though these do not work with ME or MF finders. The SQ-Ai uses 4x LR44 batteries for power. Production of this model, along with its lenses and accessories, ceased in September 2003.
