The Revue ML is a 35mm SLR camera, also known as the Praktica MTL 5 B, manufactured by Pentacon in Dresden, East Germany, between 1985 and 1989. It features TTL exposure metering, activated by a stop-down button, with a match-needle display in the viewfinder indicating exposure levels. The camera's meter is powered by a battery, which was a PX25 mercury battery in early models and an LR44 alkaline battery in later versions, though metering is optional. Film speed is set via the shutter speed dial. It is equipped with a metal-curtained focal plane shutter offering speeds from 1s to 1/1000s, plus Bulb mode, and includes a self-timer. Flash synchronization is available at 1/125 second. The Revue ML uses interchangeable M42 screw mount lenses, commonly found with the Meyer-designed Pentacon auto 1.8/50mm multi-coated lens. The viewfinder incorporates a split-prism/microprism focusing aid with a diagonal split.
