The Pentax ME is a 35mm SLR camera produced by Pentax between 1977 and 1979. It was introduced alongside the MX as Pentax's response to the trend of more compact SLR cameras. The ME is known for being among the smallest 24x36mm format SLRs ever made, weighing approximately 460g without a lens. It features an aperture-priority automatic exposure mode with an electronic focal plane shutter, offering speeds from 8 seconds to 1/1000th of a second, and a flash synchronization speed of 1/100th of a second. The camera utilizes a TTL open-aperture, center-weighted exposure meter and has a fixed hot shoe for flash. It uses the Pentax K lens mount and can be fitted with an external winder.
