NIKON F301

The Nikon F-301, introduced in 1985, is a manual focus 35mm SLR camera with motorized film advance and an automatic programmed exposure system controlled by TTL metering. Known as the N2000 in the US market, it was Nikon's first SLR without a film advance lever and featured easy-load, motorized film transport for continuous shooting up to 2.5 fps. It was also the first Nikon camera with DX recognition for film speeds and the first with polycarbonate construction. The F-301 offers shutter speeds from 1 to 1/2000 second, as well as P/PHi and A modes where speeds are electronically controlled. It uses TTL metering for compatible flashes and an electronic shutter release cable. Film rewind is manual, with a lever that also incorporates an ISO selector and exposure compensation dial.
