The Mamiya C33 is a medium format Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) camera that was released in 1965 as part of the Mamiya C series. It is an improved version of the Mamiya C3 and features an automatic shutter cocking mechanism during film winding. The camera uses a film advance crank that automatically stops after turning clockwise and requires a counter-clockwise return. It includes a dedicated lens distance scale window on the right side of the body, providing scales for 65mm and 80mm focal lengths, with additional scales on the left side bellows plate for 105mm, 135mm, and 180mm lenses. Some models also have scales for 55mm and 250mm lenses. The lens parallax selection knob on the left side has settings for 80mm, 105mm, 135mm, and 180mm lenses. The C33 primarily uses 120 film, with some variations supporting 220 film backs. It features a proprietary Mamiya covering with a raised 'M' instead of leatherette.
