The Canon TX is a 35mm SLR film camera that was released by Canon in 1975. It was a stripped-down version of the FTb, intended for export overseas and never sold in Japan. It features a center-weighted averaging light meter that is constantly active, a horizontal-travel cloth focal-plane shutter with a top speed of 1/500th, and a hot shoe with a single auto-switching FP and X flash sync PC terminal. Unlike the FTb, it lacks a metering switch, battery check, lockable stop-down lever, Quick Load system, mirror lock-up, and lockable shutter release. It was preceded by the similar TLb, which omitted the hot shoe.
