The Canon T50 is a 35mm SLR camera introduced by Canon in March 1983. It was the first model in Canon's "T-series" of cameras. The T50 features powered film winding and programmed automatic exposure, and it is compatible with Canon FD mount lenses. Its vertical traveling electronic shutter operates at speeds from 2 seconds to 1/1000 second in automatic mode. The camera uses a TTL SPD photocell for metering, with an exposure value range of 1 to 18 EV at ISO 100. It supports film speeds from 50 to 1600 ISO. The T50 is powered by two AA/LR6 batteries, which provide enough power for approximately 50 rolls of 36-exposure film.
