The Canon Autoboy S (also known as Prima Super 115, Sure Shot Z115) is a fully automatic 35mm zoom camera originally introduced in September 1993 as a top-of-the-line consumer point-and-shoot model. The camera features a 38-115mm f/3.6-8.5 zoom lens with 3x magnification, constructed with two molded glass aspherical elements for enhanced optical quality. It incorporates advanced features for its time including a high-speed 1/1200 second shutter with real-time release, AIAF with three-point measurement, and a rear mode dial for scene selection. The camera was marketed under different names across regions (Sure Shot Z115 in the Americas, Prima Super 115N globally, and Autoboy S in Japan) and received a white gold revision in March 1999. A newer variant, the Canon Sure Shot Z115 Panorama/Prima Super 115N/Autoboy S XL, was introduced in 1999 with additional features. The camera represents Canon's consumer-focused automatic photography technology of the mid-1990s, combining ease of use with relatively sophisticated optical and electronic systems.
