The Canon EOS 300X is an autofocus 35mm SLR camera manufactured by Canon and released in September 2004. It is known as the Rebel T2 in the US and the EOS Kiss 7 in Japan. This camera is the successor to the EOS 300V, Rebel Ti, and EOS Kiss 5. It features an EF lens mount, a focal plane shutter with speeds ranging from 30 seconds to 1/4000th of a second, and an optical TTL viewfinder. The EOS 300X supports DX coded film from 25-5000 ISO and manual settings from 6-6400 ISO. It has an E-TTL II flash hotshoe, 35-zone exposure metering, and offers manual, aperture priority, and shutter priority exposure modes. Focusing is handled by a 7-point autofocus system with One Shot, AI, and AI Servo modes. It can shoot continuously at 3 frames per second and has a motorized film advance. The camera is powered by two CR2 lithium batteries.
